This series contains 'The Grantite Review' and 'The Grantite Gazette'. 'The Grantite Review' was the House magazine and was begun in 1884. Later, in Election term 1994, 'The Grantite Gazette' was started with the aim of producing one or two editions a year so the 'Grantite Review' could be produced once every five years. Both magazines were distributed within the House and to Old Grantites.

The Grantite Review

'The Grantite Review' was started in 1884 and was the House magazine of Grant's. It contained news about the House including, students who had left and arrived at the House, sporting results and achievements, details of the house play, letters, poems and news about the 'Old Grantite Club'. It was distributed within the House and to Old Grantites. Later issues include adverts and there are inserts in some editions.

'The Grantite Gazette'

This magazine largely took over from the House magazine 'The Grantite Review'. It was first produced in Election term 1994 with the aim of producing one or two editions a year so the 'Grantite Review' could be produced once every five years. It contains general news from the House including the names of new pupils and leavers, details of charity fundraising, a sports section and details of upcoming events within the House. It does not contain news from the 'Old Grantite Club', which was included in the 'Elizabethan' instead, but does advertise their events and occasionally includes letters from Old Grantites. The magazine was distributed within Grant's house and to Old Grantites.

History of Grant's House

This bix contains a volume of extracts concerning Grant's House and a list of Grantites, both compiled by Lawrence E. Tanner (G 1905 - 1909). There is also a Grantite House Register which is a list of names of boys who belonged to Grant's House.

The 'Old Grantite Club'

This series contains material relating to the Old Grantite Club, which was a group for alumnus of Grant's House. Members of the club paid a subscription fee to join which was used to fund social events organsied by the club as well as the production of the 'Grantite Review', the House magazine. The main event organised by the club was the annual dinner, although they also organised golf and cricket matches. This series contains the minute books of the club, lists of its members and publications by the club.

Minute Books

There are two volumes which contain the minutes of the meeting held by the Club's committee and sub-committees. They include details of those elected as committee members, the finances of the club and the general running of the Club.

Publications

There are two editions of a publication titled 'Grant's and the Old Grantite Club', which give a short history of Grant's House and the 'Old Grantite Club'.

Rigaud's

This collection contains materials relating to Rigaud's House. It includes 2 House Ledgers which give details of events in Rigaud's House, such as sporting achievements of the House. It also contains administrational records of Rigaud's House including House lists, details of members of the House, notices given to the House and information on the academic development of pupils. As well as this there are ledgers which give details of sporting events, including comments on team members. Finally, this collection contains the Rigaud's House magazine, 'The Rigaudite Review' which later became known as 'The Major'. It also contains another magazine titled 'Rigaud's Reflections', which was only disseminated within the House, and was decorated with hand drawn illustrations and paintings.

House Ledgers

These ledgers were created by the Heads of Rigaud's House and record their thoughts on pupils and staff, as well as events at the school and within Rigaud's House.

Administration

Two of the volumes give details of the pupils at Rigaud's House each term. Also included is a weekend book, giving details of where students stayed at weekends, a book of notices issued within the House and a mark book.
