Town Boy Ledgers

The Town Boy Ledgers are a near continuous record of life at Westminster School stretching from 1815-1939. The Ledgers were kept by the pupil elected 'Head of the Town Boys' (Princeps Oppidanus) and were written exclusively for the benefit of future generations of pupils. Until the mid-20th Century, when the term fell into disuse, pupils at the school who were not Scholars were known as 'Town Boys'.

House Ledgers

These ledgers were created by the Heads of House and record events which happened within the House. They contain details of societies, sports, punishments and anything the Heads thought noteworthy of recording.

The Grantite Review

'The Grantite Review' was started in 1884 and was the House magazine of Grant's. It contained news about the House including, students who had left and arrived at the House, sporting results and achievements, details of the house play, letters, poems and news about the 'Old Grantite Club'. It was distributed within the House and to Old Grantites. Later issues include adverts and there are inserts in some editions.
