Westminster Play Ledger 1874

Ledger containing lists of signatures of attendees at Latin Plays in chronological order. In some cases names of plays performed and dates of performances are given. In most cases lists are split into school alumni ('Old Westminsters') and 'Visitors'. Contains signatures of Princess Louise, (Trinummus 1902 entry) and King George VI and Queen Elizabeth (Adelphi 1937 entry).

Cast Lists

Lists of parts with names of cast for Latin Plays; some seem to be draft copies and others are final versions. The sub-series is incomplete.

Old Man

Pen and watercolour drawing of man in classical clothing. An annotation at the foot of the drawing reads 'Old Man: Tunic of Pallium.' Possibly a design drawing for the 'authentic' costumes introduced by Head Master Richard Williamson's from 1839.

Letter from 'Morrice' to L.Tanner (Grant's 1905-1909; History Master 1920-1932) concerning Morrice's disagreement with the ideas expressed by R. Southern in article 'The Houses of the Westminster Play' in Theatre Notebook.
