Half-length portrait on a much reduced scale; Abbott is turned to the right; he wears a white cravat and black coat; the background is grey; framed in an oval. Marked on back "Anna Tonelli" "Fece in Londra 1794" and "Charles Abbot 1st Lord Colchester". Charles Abbot 1st Lord Colchester would have been in his 40s at the time of painting so it is likely that either the artist or sitter is mis-attributed.

Three-quarter length, seated, facing the left of the picture; he wears a large brown coat; he rests his hands in his lap; the background is light brown. Signed: E.A. Walton
Three-quarter length, seated, facing right; he wears red and white music gown, over black suit and hat; he sits on a green chair. There is a candle and a book in the right background.

Three-quarters length; Rae reclines with his body facing the left of the picture, although he is portrayed full face; he supports his head with his left hand; he wears red robe, academic collar and gown. Signed l.r.: Richard Stone
