Cambriddge 1840, adm. pens. 28 May 1840, scholar 1841; BA 1844; MA 1848; assumed surname of Jermy in lieu of Preston 6 Sep 1838; m. Sophia Jane, dau. of Rev. Clement Chevallier, Rector of Badingham, Suffolk; murdered at Stanfield Hall by James Blomfield Rush 28 Nov 1848. DNB (s. v. father).
