        LAMBERT, SIR HENRY JOHN, BART., eldest son of Sir Henry Anne Lambert, Bart., and his cousin Sophia, subsequently wife of Henry Francis Greville (qv), dau. of Francis Xavier White; b. 5 Aug 1792; succ. father as 5th baronet 21 Jan 1803; adm. 23 Sep 1803; left 1807; Ensign, 1st Foot Guards 6 Apr 1809; Lieut. and Capt., 27 May 1813; Capt., 69th Foot 13 Apr 1815; half-pay, 86th Foot 4 May 1815; served in Peninsular War, severely wounded at battle of Barrosa 5 Mar 1811; m. 7 May 1821 Anna Maria, younger dau. of Hon. Edward Foley (qv) and his second wife; d. 17 Dec 1858.
