(aged 15) 1709; left 1710; from a letter written in Jun 1710 by his mother to William Legge, 1st Earl of Dartmouth (qv), Secretary of State, it appears that she tried to get her son into the Secretary of State’s Office (HMC xi, v, 296); d. 13 Nov 1749.
