St. James, Garlickhythe, London 9 Sep 1737 (IGI); in school list 1744; KS (aged 13) 1751; elected head to Christ Church, Oxford 1756, matr. 15 Jun 1756, Westminster Student 5 Jan 1757 – res 5 Jan 1760, having been suspended for taking a degree for a year from 22 Dec 1759 owing to his idleness; migrated to Trinity Coll. Oxford; BA 1760; ordained; Rector of Berkswell, Warwicks., from 1762; m. 12 Jun 1766 Ann Craven, “niece of Lord Craven”; d. Sep 1769.
