NEWDIGATE, FRANCIS, second son of William Parker, Salford Priors, Warwicks., and Millicent, only dau. of Francis Newdigate, Kirk Hallam, Derbs.; bapt. St. Nicholas, Nottingham 29 Nov 1751; assumed surname of Newdigate in lieu of Parker as heir to mother’s Derbyshire estates; adm. 10 Mar 1766 (as Newdigate, no Christian name stated, but that this was Francis Newdigate is clear from the fact that his younger brother (William) Charles Parker (qv) was adm. on the same day); left Easter 1770; University Coll. Oxford, matr. 10 May 1770, aged 18; of Kirk Hallam, Derbs.; travelling in Italy 1793-5; m. 1773 Frances, sister of John Sneyd (adm. 1777, qv); d. 5 Feb 1835.
