NUGENT, RICHARD, LORD DELVIN, only son of Thomas Nugent, 6th Earl of Westmeath (I) PC (I) KP, and his first wife Mary, only dau. of John Durand Stapleton, San Domingo, West Indies; b. 1742; at school under Markham (Public Advertiser, 20 Aug 1754); Cornet, 1st Horse, Ireland 27 May 1758; d. in Dublin 6 Aug 1761, of wounds received in a duel with Capt. George O’Reilly eight days previously.
