PESHALL, SIR CHARLES JOHN, BART., eldest son of Sir John Peshall, Bart., and Rebecca Hyde, dau. of Cossley Hall, Hyde Hall, Jamaica; b.; at Winchester Coll. in 1791; adm. 18 Apr 1795; in school lists 1795, 1797; Ensign, 89th Foot 2 Dec 1795; Lieut., 22nd Foot 2 Jul 1796; 7th Light Dragoons, 17 Sep 1801; Capt., 88th Foot 18 Sep 1804 – 8 Sep 1814; although the baronetcy had become extinct in 1712, Peshall, like his father and grandfather, assumed the title; m. 1 May 1808 Letitia, eldest dau. of Richard Martin MP; d. abroad 24 Jul 1834.
