Thomas Powell, Tyle Glas, Glasbury, Breconshire, and Margaret ---; b.; adm.; KS 1681; failed to obtain election to either university 1683; a letter from Sir Leoline Jenkins, Secretary of State, to Dr. John Lloyd, Principal of Jesus Coll. Oxford, dated 31 Mar 1684 recommends him for a scholarship (State Papers); ordained; Vicar of Talgarth, Breconshire 1693-4; Vicar of Llangadoch, Carmarthenshire 1694.
