Reserve Dec. 25, 1924; Head Master of Clevedon College, Somerset, 1932; transferred from Indian Army Reserve to 8th Batt. Middlesex Regt. T.A. June 1928 and to 43rd Div. R.E. (T.A.) March 16, 1936; resigned March 15, 1939; Lieut. The Queen's Regt. March 9, 1940; Capt. and Transport Officer 35th Infantry Bgde., Mar. 16, 1940; transferred to 9th East Surrey Regt.
