E. Berens (different hand from above) likes an idea of PE's, but is too distant to take advantage of it.

E. Berens congratulates PE on Alban Hall. Elections for Camden Professorship have not yet taken place, but he hears the outcome is certain.

J.J. Conybeare on reasons for not entering the election for Public Orator. Congratulate PE on Alban Hall, and hopes he will not now be above gossip. Has written to the Dean of Ch Ch explaining his feelings about the Public Oratorship.
