March 30, 1908; retired Feb. 10, 1910; adm. a solicitor March 1903, and practised as a barrister and solicitor in Western Australia; returned home in Dec. 1914 and rejoined his Regt. as 2nd Lieut. Feb. 18, 1915; temp. Lieut. June 11, 1915; temp. Capt. March 2, 1916; served in France, Belgium, and Italy; wounded Oct. 11, 1916, and twice afterwards; mentioned in despatches L.G. Feb. 20, 1919; M.C. Jan. 1, 1917; M.B.E. Jan. 1, 1919; Italian Silver Medal for Valour; resumed his profession in Australia; m. Feb. 2, 1910, Isabel Emma, daughter of Frederick Savage, of Marden, Kent; d. Dec. 20, 1927.
