Mich. 1848; emigrated to Australia 1849; a private tutor at Sydney, New South Wales; Sydney Univ., matr. 1852, Chancellor’s Prize for Greek Iambics 1853; Librarian, Sydney Univ.; returned to England 1855; followed the occupation of a coach; ordained deacon 1885, priest 1886 (both Bath and Wells); held various curacies, but gave up holy orders 20 Nov 1894, under the provisions of the Clerical Disabilities Act; author, Westminster School past and present, 1884; d. 11 Aug 1901.
