Selby, William Lyle, son of the Rev. Thomas Gunn Selby, of Bromley, Kent, by Catherine, daughter of William Lawson, of Otley, Yorks; b. Feb. 24, 1893; adm. as exhibitioner Sept. 27, 1906 (A); K.S. (non-resident) 1907; elected to Trin. Coll. Camb. (with Samwaies and a Triplett gratuity) July 1911, matric. Michaelmas 1912; articled to a solicitor Jan. 1914 -Jan. 1918, when he retired on account of ill health; d. Jan. 1944; he bequeathed £100 to the school; unm.
