Sept. 29, 1893, sizar 1894); George Long Prize 1895; 1st class Law Tripos, pt. 1, 1895; 1st class Law Tripos, pt. 2, 1896; LL.B. 1896; I.C.S. 1897; arrived in India Nov. 21, 1898; Asst. Magis. and Coll. N.W. Provinces and Oudh; Joint Magis. July 1907; Sess. and SubĀ . Judge Oct. 1914; retired from the I.C.S. March 1924; a fine all-round sportsman; the only civilian in the winning team of the Polo Club Tournament at Lucknow 1917 and a noted pigĀ sticker; m.
