July 1, 1917; an East India merchant and foreign exchange broker; assumed the surname of Thoresby in lieu of Thoresby-Jones 1920; m. 1st March 4, 1920, Violet Edmée Vulliamy, daughter of William Henry Battle, F.R.C.S., of London; 2nd Pamela Millicent, only daughter of Eric Dickinson, of Peterborough House, Harrow-on-the-Hill.
