Norris, William Foxley; son of the Reverend William Norris; b. 4 Feb. 1859; educated at Charterhouse and Trinity College, Oxford; took holy orders at Leeds Clergy School; Rural Dean of Silkstone, Rector of Barnsley, and Archdeacon of Halifax; July 1902 appointed appointed an honorary Canon of Wakefield Cathedral; 1917 Dean of York; 1925 Dean of Westminster; d. 28 Sep. 1937, buried in Westminster Abbey.
