Waley, Guy Felix, only son of John Felix Waley, of London, barrister-at-law, by Ethel Esther, daughter of Daniel Schloss, of London; b. May 10, 1897; adm. Sept. 22, 1910 (G); K.S. (nonĀ­-resident) 1911; Mure Scholar 1914; elected to an exhibition at Ch. Ch. Oxon. July 1915, but did not matric.; 2nd Lieut. 11th Batt. Royal Warwicks Regt. Oct. 4, 1915; Lieut. July 1, 1917; served in France and was severely wounded at Arras April 1917; Military Intelligence Dept. Sept. 1918; discharged on account of his wounds March 1919; in the Anglo-Saxon Petroleum Co. Sept. 1919; m. Nov. 7, 1923, Anne Elizabeth, only daughter of Henry Newton Dickson, C.B.E., D.Sc., of Reading, Berks; d. Sept. 20, 1959.
