WALLIS, ALBANY CHARLES, only son of Albany Wallis, Norfolk Street, Strand, London, solicitor, and Elizabeth Vaughan; b.; adm. 12 Jun 1770, chorister; portrait of him by Sir Joshua Reynolds sold Christie 7 Jul 1916; drowned in river Thames 29 Mar 1776, aged 13. Buried East Cloister, Westminster Abbey (tablet in his memory erected by his father’s friend David Garrick).
