Co. in various countries in Europe till 1933; asst. general manager 1948; general manager 1954-61; chairman of the London Salvage Corps 1958-60, and the British Insurance Assoc. 1959-61; director of several assurance compames; F.R.H.S. and F.Z.S.; retired Sept. 1961; m. 1921, Mary Josephine Robertson.
