WARDROP, JAMES MAITLAND, second son of James Wardrop MD FRCS, Charles Street, St. James’s, London, Surgeon in Ordinary to George IV, and Margaret Willett, formerly wife of Cdr. John Burn, Royal Navy, and dau. of Col. George Dalrymple, North Berwick, Haddingtonshire; b. 16 Mar 1824; adm. 24 Apr 1835; of firm Reid and Wardrop, architects, Edinburgh; an able architect in the Scottish Baronial style; m. 28 Sep 1853 Anna Maria, youngest dau. of James Dundas of Dundas, Linlithgowshire; d. 27 Jun 1882.
