BRODERICK, THOMAS; b.; adm. (aged 10) Jul 1718; left 1721. [Perhaps Thomas Brod (e)rick, son of William Brod (e)rick, Judge of King’s Bench, Ireland; Lieut. Royal Navy 11 Jan 1727; distinguished himself at Porto Bello in 1739, while serving under the command of Edward Vernon (qv); Cdr. 1741; Capt. 27 Mar 1741; also saw service on expeditions to Cartagena and Cuba; Rear Adm., 4 Jun 1756; member court martial on Adm.
