Archival history

From the Harewood House Collection. Presented to the school in 1952 by HRH the Princess Royal and the Earl of Harewood. This is a poor and reduced copy of the Devis portrait in the National Portrait Gallery. The Mr Hudson acknowledge on the frame is presumably Henry Hudson who made an engraving of this portrait in 17845. The original is regarded as the property of the Governors-General of Bengal.
