General Administration

The sub-series contains material relating to the general administrative records and correspondence concerning all aspects of logistical planning for the Latin Play. This includes indexes of addresses to send invitations and tickets to, instructions for those assisting with the play, audience seating plans and production notes. The sub-series is incomplete and most material dates from the first half of the 20th Century.

Addresses for the College Play

Volume containing lists of names and addresses of attendees to be sent tickets to the College Latin Play for the year 1856. School alumni are indicated by the abbreviation 'O.W.' and the performance for which tickets should be sent is given next to names. There are some later annotations giving dates of death for some attendees. Names are indexed alphabetically.

Epilogues and Prologues

Handwritten and printed Epilogues and Prologues which were composed to be spoken at performances of the Latin Plays. Prologues were often composed by the Headmaster and contained obituraries for school alumni. Epilogues were composed by the King's Scholars and performed in modern dress, offering a satire of contemporary world events. The sub-series is incomplete.

Tickets and Programmes

The sub-series contains sample and used tickets, programmes and leaflets/brochures for audiences of Latin Plays. Also included is an invitation to a Latin Play. The sub-series is incomplete.
